I've been using Macs since 1985, coding since 1996. My software career began in tech support and quality assurance at Silicon Valley startup Headspace during the dot-com boom. Frustrated by the repetitive nature of these jobs, I started creating tools to automate and streamline the most frequent and mundane tasks. This grew into a career focused on designing great user interfaces that make it easier to get the job done. Today, I am obsessed with creating beautiful and intuitive apps. I design the app architecture and UI, write the code, and oversee projects from inception to delivery.
Blanche Alley Software began as Beau G. Bolle Software in 2002, when I left my day job at Beatnik to focus on Mac OS X app development.
The company is named after a 1½ block long street in San Francisco's Noe Valley where I grew up. The back yards of the homes on the block open into the alley, making it the starting point for most of my childhood adventures.
